Three levels of sensitivity amplification
Axion 2 thermal devices feature an innovative image optimization methodology, based on the conditions and purpose of observation, and provide a high-quality image of both objects and the background. Three levels of signal amplification, in addition to an image homogeneity filter and fine adjustment of brightness and contrast, provide the hunter with great opportunities for detecting an animal at long distances in different weather and temperature conditions, and determining its characteristics.
High quality reinforced magnesium alloy housing
Axion is designed for continuous and often rough use. The magnesium alloy housing is lightweight yet durable, providing protection for the thermal imaging device’s internal components from impacts, drops, heat, and cold. The metal housing also effectively removes heat from the electronics, minimizes image noise, and helps the instrument function smoothly during long observations.
Long battery life. Up to 11 hours on a single charge.
The powerful APS5 rechargeable battery ensures continuous operation of the thermal instrument for 11 hours on a single charge. The battery can be removed from its housing and replaced with another in a few seconds. It can be recharged in a dedicated device or, inside the instrument, from a PC, from a home power supply or from a charger via USB-C connection. These same sources can be used for external power supply of a thermal instrument.
Enhanced Wi-Fi connectivity with 2.4 / 5 GHz frequency band support
In the Axion 2 thermal imaging cameras, the standard 2.4 GHz frequency for Wi-Fi connection to a smartphone is combined with an efficient 5 GHz frequency band. The latter offers better bandwidth, higher data transfer speed, protection from interference and improved connection stability, which translates into greater efficiency and convenience of using the thermal device with a smartphone.
Fast aperture lens
The F35/1.0 germanium lens is characterized by a high infrared transmission in the long-wave infrared range (LWIR). Thanks to the extreme precision in the construction of the optical elements of the lens, the image generated by the thermal sensor of the Axion 2 is characterized by sharpness and richness of detail.
Built-in high precision laser rangefinder
Correctly determining the distance to the target is essential to making the right decision. A built-in laser rangefinder with a range of 1 km allows you to measure the distance with single readings and perform continuous scans with an accuracy of ± 1 meter, thus obtaining a quick and correct assessment of every situation.
Lynred sensors made in Europe
Axion 2 is equipped with a Lynred sensor, built in Europe, capable of detecting a qualitative signal in difficult observation conditions, such as rain, fog and high humidity.
Built-in photo and video recording. Free 16GB Cloud storage
The Axion 2 features a built-in video recorder. The Axion 2’s internal memory can store hours of footage and tens of thousands of photos. A simple press of a button is all it takes to take a photo or start a video, which can then be transferred to a computer via USB-C. Axion 2 owners have 16GB of free storage space in the Pulsar Cloud, for saving photos and videos taken with their instrument. Simply install the Stream Vision 2 app, log in, and connect the instrument to a smartphone via Wi-Fi.
User Mode
Adjust contrast and brightness to maximize the rendering of details and the informative value of the images in every observation condition. The User mode saves the contrast and brightness settings in the device memory, providing immediately an optimal image quality in future uses of the thermal imager, without the need for further adjustments.
Detection distance up to 1750 meters
A powerful F35/1.0 objective lens, combined with a highly sensitive thermal sensor, ensures exceptional detection capabilities. A normal object with a height of 180 cm can be detected from a distance of up to 1750 meters in complete darkness.
Remote operations with smartphone and software update via the Stream Vision 2 App
The built-in WiFi module connects the Axion 2 to Android and iOS smartphones via the Stream Vision 2 app. This allows for a variety of operations, such as wirelessly updating the device’s software, real-time image transmission from the device to the smartphone, posting photos and videos taken with the instrument to social media, remotely controlling digital features, and accessing the latest Pulsar news. Registered users also get 16 GB of cloud storage space for saving photos and videos taken with their device.

Variable magnification
Digital zoom improves focus and overall object recognition at significant distances. The zoom varies either incrementally in 2x steps or continuously, thus obtaining an optimized and customized field of view for each situation.
Small size and light weight
Axion 2 LRF comes in a pocket-sized, space-saving format, weighing only 350 grams. The device is easy to handle and can be used with both right and left hands thanks to its symmetrical design and the buttons aligned on the top panel.
High contrast AMOLED display
The high-contrast AMOLED display offers better color rendering, power saving and fast response time, providing clear and precise images even when observing in freezing weather.
Quick Start
Axion 2 is characterized by a very short start-up time: within 5 seconds of pressing the ON button the device is fully operational. The quick start reduces energy consumption; during the hunt it is not necessary to have Axion 2 always on, but only when needed.
IPX7 waterproof level
The IPX7 waterproof rating ensures protection from torrential rain, snow and other precipitation. The unit is designed to function flawlessly even when submerged in water up to one meter deep for 30 minutes.

8 color palettes
A choice of 8 color palettes allows the user to observe the field of view more effectively, optimizing the device for specific tasks, as well as adapting to changes in observation conditions. White Hot, Black Hot and Red Hot are ideal for object detection; Rainbow and Ultramarine increase the chances of recognition and identification. Red Monochrome, Sepia and Violet are best suited for long night observations.
