The Forward FN455S uses proprietary software, cutting-edge electronics, and signal processing algorithms to deliver one of the highest sensitivity values in the infrared spectrum (night sensitivity) in the industry. The result is a device that offers exceptional passive mode performance during late twilight, even at night, without having to turn on the IR illumination. High sensitivity in the 900-950nm range makes it possible to use the Forward FN455 with invisible IR illuminators.
Night vision range of over 500m
High night sensitivity, high-resolution display and sensor, wide range of brightness and contrast settings, quality optics, and a powerful built-in IR illuminator for use in complete darkness make the Forward F455S the perfect tool for spotting large game at distances of 450-500 meters.
Easy transformation of an optical sight into a night vision device
To install the Forward F on the front optical bell of the day sight, adapters of various support sizes are used. The adapter permanently connects to the optical bell. This allows the Forward F accessory to be quickly installed in front of the lenses for night use. When the accessory is not in use, the adapter provides a cap that protects the lenses of the day sight.
700mW “invisible” infrared illuminator with adjustable illumination intensity
The new Pulsar Ultra-X940S detachable infrared illuminator emits 940 nm in the “invisible” range. The variable power level of the illuminator – 175, 350 and 700 mW – allows you to select the most suitable illumination intensity for each situation. The illuminator’s optics allow flexible adjustment of the direction of the light flux, so you can achieve complete and uniform illumination of the area you are observing.
Integrated audio and video recording
Recording videos and taking pictures is easy with the Forward FN's built-in video recorder. The built-in microphone has been activated in the Forward FN's menu, you can record videos with sound. Pictures and videos are stored internally and can be easily transferred to your PC/laptop via cable or wirelessly to your smartphone or tablet with the iOS and Android compatible Stream Vision App.
Long-lasting rechargeable batteries and quick replacement
Forward FN uses an advanced autonomous battery power system. The rechargeable IPS75 (6.4Ah) battery fits into a special compartment in the riflescope body without stretching it and provides over 7 hours of runtime on a single charge in high performance mode. More powerful IPS10 (10Ah) and IPS14 (13.2Ah) batteries are optionally available. The wireless and quick-release design, long operating time are the main features of this power system.
Wi-Fi. Compatibility with IOS and Android devices
The built-in WiFi module allows the device to connect to Android and IOS smartphones via the Stream Vision mobile app. This enables the use of various functions: wireless software updates, real-time image transmission to the mobile device screen, remote control of digital functions and much more. Users registered in the application are allocated cloud storage space for photos and videos taken with a thermal or digital device. An important aspect is that the device remains compatible with the previous, first version of Stream Vision.

IPX7 Fully Waterproof
The Forward FN is fully waterproof with an IPX7 protection level. The device is capable of operating during precipitation of any intensity and survive brief immersions.
SumLight software for sensitivity enhancement algorithm
The SumLight function improves the sensitivity of the sensor, which allows passive observation (with IR off) in low light conditions at night. The software automatically activates algorithms, such as summing adjacent pixel signals, adding frames, increasing the sensitivity while maintaining sufficient image quality.
Software Updated
All you need to check for updates and install new firmware is a smartphone, a free Stream Vision 2 app, and internet access. This allows hunters to receive new features and bug fixes for an FN Forward they already own.
Operating temperatures from -25 to +50°C
Forward FN is effective in low temperature usage (down to -25°C). The freeze-resistant AMOLED display has a fast response rate and ensures a clear image when framing moving objects.
Four-point quick bayonet mounting system with secure clamp
The accessory connects to the proprietary adapter with the durable bayonet mount system. The Pulsar line includes three models of adapters to install viewfinders with lens diameters of 40; 42; 50; 56mm.
