Thermal, digital and combined vision modes
Merger Duo supports various observation modes. Thermal mode is used for animal detection and observation in any weather conditions, while digital imaging maintains high target identification capability with Full HD resolution. The “Picture-in-Picture” function allows you to simultaneously display images from both optical channels, choosing whether to give priority to thermal or digital imaging.
Extremely sensitive thermal sensor
The highly sensitive 640x480 pixel @ 17 µm thermal sensor with NETD < 25 mK ensures outstanding thermal image quality and perfect detail recognition, even in the most adverse weather conditions, where thermal contrast is low. The smallest temperature differences will be clearly visible even in rain, fog or on the coldest mornings, i.e. the most critical conditions for thermal imaging.
Exceptional Full HD digital night vision in low light situations
The image generated by the Merger Duo NXP50 night digital channel is characterized by high-quality, high-definition detail processing. Profiles, anatomical differences, behavioral characteristics: thanks to the quality of the electronic components and HD resolution, the peculiarities of each animal are shown, providing the hunter with the information needed to make the right decision when shooting.
IR Illuminator
The Merger Duo NXP50 comes with an invisible 940nm infrared illuminator that can be mounted on the binoculars, with adjustable positioning, and which increases the level of image detail on the digital channel on completely dark nights.
User Mode
Adjust contrast and brightness to maximize the rendering of details and the informative value of the images in every observation condition. The User mode saves the contrast and brightness settings in the device memory, providing immediately an optimal image quality in future uses of the thermal imager, without the need for further adjustments.

Advanced Pulsar image enhancement technology
Pulsar Image Boost technology provides the Merger Duo thermal image with the highest level of detail, clarity and contrast, using a series of original image processing algorithms. The Merger Duo multispectral binoculars clearly display complex scenes with low-contrast objects with similar heat signatures - such as the sky, grass or water surface - in a wide range of semitones. The clarity and detail of objects from various distances, ensured by the software, result in a highly informative thermal image. Manually increasing the sensitivity of the thermal sensor improves the quality of animal detection as observation conditions deteriorate. A smoothing filter and a wide range of brightness and contrast adjustments make even very long observation periods comfortable.
Fast aperture thermal lens F50/1.0
The thermal optics characteristics are decisive for the ability of a thermal imager to detect minimal levels of radiation. Maximum detection efficiency is achieved by the fast aperture lens (F50/1.0) combined with the highly sensitive thermal sensor of the Merger Duo. This way the binoculars always provide the most informative, best-quality, richly detailed and high-contrast image, even in rain or fog, when the temperature contrast in the observed environment is minimal.
Invisible infrared illuminator for greater detail of the digital channel image
Merger Duo NXP50 comes with an invisible 940nm infrared illuminator that can be mounted on the binoculars, thus increasing the image detail of the digital channel in darkness. The three-level power setting allows the user to choose the preferred observation distance and the level of illumination of the observed objects. The fine adjustment of the infrared impact point allows to concentrate the maximum level of illumination in the desired area within the field of view.
Selection between 8 color palettes in thermal mode
A choice of 8 color palettes allows the user to observe the field of view more effectively, optimizing the device for specific tasks, as well as adapting to changes in observation conditions. White Hot, Black Hot and Red Hot are ideal for object detection; Rainbow and Ultramarine increase the chances of recognition and identification. Red Monochrome, Sepia and Violet are best suited for long night observations.
High contrast AMOLED HD display
Merger's HD AMOLED displays deliver a clear, contrast-rich, and vibrantly colorful field of vision, and AMOLED technology ensures smooth, flawless, high-resolution images while saving power.
Thermal detection distance of 1800m
The advantage of thermal vision is rapid animal detection at any time of day. At night, it is the most effective method for detecting game from long distances. Thanks to high-quality optics with long focal lengths and an extremely sensitive sensor, the Merger Duo boasts an extraordinary observation range: an object 180 cm high is detected at a distance of 1800 m in total darkness.
User-friendly
Comfortable viewing experience
The optical design of Merger binoculars takes full account of the characteristics of the human eye. It is natural for a person to receive visual information simultaneously through two visual channels. Observing with two eyes is more relaxing than using only one. This translates into more effective detection of small or blurry objects, and better performance in low-contrast situations compared to thermal monoculars with similar characteristics. The interpupillary distance in Merger binoculars is adjustable between 62 and 74 mm, in order to adapt to every user.
Comfortable classic binocular design
The Merger Duo multispectral binoculars are built with the classic daytime binocular design. With a small form factor, these binoculars fit comfortably in the hand, while offering pleasing aesthetics and ideal ergonomics. The six control buttons are conveniently located within easy reach, while the most frequently used functions of the device can be activated with a single touch.
Built-in photo and video recorder
Merger Duo has a built-in video recorder. The internal memory can store hours of video and tens of thousands of photos. A simple press of a button is enough to take a photo or start recording a video.
Dual battery system
Merger Duo is powered by two rechargeable batteries, a built-in 4Ah battery and a replaceable 3.2Ah battery. A single charge provides up to 7 hours of battery life. The raised area on the removable battery body allows you to accurately determine its position and make a quick and safe replacement simply by relying on touch, even in complete darkness.
Proximity sensor to avoid being seen
Observing in darkness requires that you are invisible so that the animals do not notice your presence. Putting a device to sleep using the Display Off function is a common way to prevent backlighting from the eyepieces. To make this easier, the Merger Duo has a built-in proximity sensor that acts as a display switch to prevent exposure to backlighting in the dark. When the device is moved away from your eyes, the proximity sensor turns off both displays, while when you bring it closer, both are activated, providing excellent image quality.
Ergonomic and functional case
A hunter needs to move quickly. A quality piece of equipment must be at hand when needed, and invisible when not. The Merger Duo case is stylish and comfortable to use and carry. The thermal device is quickly and easily removed from the case and put into position. The optimal positioning system of the belt distributes the weight of the device across the hunter's body, relieving the load on the shoulders, back and neck. The case fits comfortably against the body, without impeding the hunter's ability to bend, turn, crouch and move freely, as well as use weapons. The case also features a strap for attaching it to a waist belt or equipment with a modular MOLLE attachment system, including backpacks and clothing with nets.
Stream Vision 2. Wi-Fi connection with iOS and Android devices
The built-in WiFi module connects the Merger Duo to Android and iOS smartphones via the Stream Vision 2 app. This allows for a variety of operations, including wirelessly updating the device’s software, real-time image transmission from the device to the smartphone, posting photos and videos taken with the instrument to social media, remotely controlling digital features, and accessing the latest Pulsar news. Registered users also get 16 GB of cloud storage space for saving photos and videos taken with their device.
Support 2.4/5GHZ Wi-Fi dual frequency band
In the Merger Duo thermal binoculars, the standard 2.4 GHz frequency band for Wi-Fi connection with smartphones is complemented by an efficient 5 GHz frequency band. The latter offers improved bandwidth, faster data transfer, noise protection and greater connection stability, resulting in easier and more effective operation between the thermal device and a smartphone.

Rugged magnesium alloy housing
Merger Duo is designed for continuous and often rough use. The magnesium alloy housing is lightweight yet durable, providing protection for the thermal device’s internal components from impacts, drops, moisture, heat, and cold. The metal housing also effectively removes heat from the electronics, helping the instrument operate smoothly over long observations.
IPX7 waterproof rating, resistant to immersion
The IPX7 waterproof rating ensures protection from torrential rain, snow and other precipitation. The unit is designed to function flawlessly even when submerged in water up to one meter deep for 30 minutes.
Operates at extreme temperatures, from -25 to +50 °C
Merger's housing, power supply, optics and electronics are designed to operate over a very wide temperature range. Merger delivers effective and reliable performance even at very low temperatures, down to -25°C.
